10 Simple Ways to Sleep Better at night

If you do everything right each night—you know, going to bed early and avoiding drinking—your body's internal clock should wake you up at the same time every morning. For the rest of us, here are ten simple ways to a better night's sleep.

1. Power down electronics. 
The first thing to do is to turn off the computer (once you've finished reading this, of course) and all of your tech toys, including the television. It's best to do this about one hour before retiring for the evening. Too much light sends mixed signals to your sleep hormones (which kick in at about 9 or 10 P.M.) making it harder to fall asleep. Try reading a book or magazine, instead. 

Robert Downey Jr.'s Son, Indio Arrested for Cocaine Possession

Robert Downey Jr.'s son Indio has been arrested. The 20-year-old, who appeared in his father's 2005 film Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, was taken into custody Sunday afternoon by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department on felony narcotics possession charges.

The 20-year-old was a passenger in a car, and when the police pulled the vehicle over, they found cocaine and drug paraphernalia in his possession.

Indio Downey was taken to jail and released shortly after midnight Monday on $10,000 bail. His next court date is Aug. 29, 2014

Former French President quizzed for Abuse of Office

Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy was held for questioning on Tuesday over suspicions he used his influence to secure leaked details of an inquiry into alleged irregularities in his 2007 election campaign.

It was the first time a former French head of state has been held in police custody and is the latest blow to Sarkozy's hopes of a come-back after his 2012 election defeat by Socialist rival Francois Hollande. The conservative politician denies all wrongdoing in a string of investigations involving him.

Sarkozy arrived early on Tuesday to be quizzed by investigators at their offices in Nanterre, west of Paris, after his lawyer was also held for questioning on Monday.

A terrorists’ intelligence cell headed by a businessman, who participated actively in the abduction of School Girls in Chibok, has been busted by troops, a statement by the Director, Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade said.  

The suspect Babuji Ya’ari, who is also a member of the Youth Vigilante Group popularly known as Civilian JTF, which he uses as cover while remaining an active terrorist, also spearheaded the murder of the Emir of Gwoza.  His main role in the group is to spy and gather information for the terrorists group.

“Babuji has been coordinating several deadly attacks in Maiduguri since 2011, including the daring attacks on Customs and military locations as well as the planting of IEDs in several locations in the town.

“The arrest of the businessman, who is known to deal in tricycles, has also yielded some vital information and facilitated the arrest of other members of the terrorists’ intelligence cell who are women.

“One of them, Hafsat Bako had earlier escaped to Gombe State to avoid suspicion but was tracked and arrested.  Prior to her arrest, Hafsat coordinated the payment of other operatives on the payroll of the group.  In her confession, she disclosed that a minimum of 10, 000 Naira is paid to each operative depending on the enormity of his task.

The statement further noted that “another female suspect named Haj Kaka, who doubles as an armourer and a spy for the terrorists group, has also been arrested.  Until their arrest, all the suspects actively operated a terrorists’ intelligence cell in collaboration with others still at large.

Meanwhile, troops deployed in Goniri, Yobe State, over the weekend, had an encounter with terrorists, resulting in casualties on both sides after the attack was successfully repelled.
