Over 60 killed, Dozens Injured In Luxurious Bus Explosion In Kano including Eye Witness reports

Over 60 passengers were killed while dozens got injured following an explosion that hit an inter-state luxurious car park in Kano State North West Nigeria. A member of Igbo traditional council in Kano, Tobias Idika confirmed the explosion to Channels Television shortly after the blast. According to Mr Idika “IED was kept inside the luxurious bus which was about to leave Kano to Lagos, people were frying like chicken here and you know there are over two hundred people in this bus when the two IEDs”

Another eyewitness told Channels Television that Dozens of people were injured but could not count the number of dead persons. At the moment, no one can confirm the status of casualties in this attack as effort to contact the police or JTF was not successful as at the time of compiling this report, however residents say the area was combed by JTF. The official number is 60+ killed but witnesses are claiming the true number is 200+.

Ijeoma Sylvia Ibeh: Bomb blast in kano, multiple blast in sabon gari motor park.... the sucide bomber boarded Gobsin bus, everyone in the bus and the surrounding are dead. This area is dominate mainly by igbos...I left there 20mins before the explosn, i stay around the area and the sound even shook my house.

Adaeze Okoye: My people, my senior brother, his wife and 2 of his children were among those wiped us in Kano today. Our mother who is home in Anambra has yet to be revived from the shock. This is a dream. God help me and my family.

Ujunwa Okafor: My brother resides in lagos but always travel to kano to supply his goods, he went to kano 4days ago for business, so this evening he decided to go back to lagos with night bus....so after he has bath and was ready to live for the park, he heard was a big sound from the same park he was about going to board a bus for which he already purchased ticket (Gobinson Bus @ sabongari park) dat was blast into pieces,,,,,and more dan 50 persons died at de spot.

Military men have now taken over the area.
