Part of the highlights of the event was the ‘Guinness Nigeria Responsible Drinking Pledge Board with the message “Be Smart. Don’t drink and drive”’, where celebrities and guests who graced the occasion pledged to responsible drinking by signing and writing their responsible drinking messages on the board.
Speaking at the event, Mr Austin Ufomba, Marketing and Innovation Director, Guinness Nigeria Plc., said, “We are proud to be associated with African legends and the celebration of life. We also are using this means to promote our thought leadership drive on responsible drinking and we are happy with the support we have received from all the great Nigerians that have graced this occasion today.”
In similar vein, Mr. Kamaldeen Shonibare, Head, Corporate Sales, Globacom, pointed out that “the series reflects Globacom’s avid commitment to the promotion and sustenance of African music, arts and heritage.”
Popularly called the Juju maestro and master guitarist, KSA belongs to the rare gem of musical icons who over the years have not only churned out evergreen songs, but have also devoted their time to use music to teach generations about the virtues and values of life.
The series has been articulated as a platform to blend classic and contemporary music by making the current generation of top Nigerian musicians to share the same stage with the legends and collaborate to perform some of the legends’ evergreen tunes.
The second edition of the Glo Evergreen Series featured D’banj and Yemi Sax who teamed up with KSA to anchor an exciting evening with corporate customers and high net worth individuals.
The event was a collaborative effort of three Nigeria top corporate giants, Globacom, Guinness Nigeria Plc. and Arik Air.
