On Saturday, 14th June 2014, 2Face Idibia held the listening session for his 6th album THE ASCENSION. The star-studded event took place at Ariz Bar and Grill in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Top players in the music industry were given the opportunity to listen and give feedback about the songs off the highly anticipated album.
Entertainment industry heavyweights such as Kenny Ogungbe, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Olisa Adibua of Beat FM, Kwame of Nigezie and Ayeni Adekunl were amongst the VIP guests present at the private pre-release listening session. Personalities such as Tosyn Bucknor, Omalicha, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Noble Igwe were also present.The event was hosted by Andre Blaze.
2Face spoke passionately about the album as he expressed extreme gratitude to all the guests who took time out of their busy schedules to listen to the yet to be released songs.

Nigeria’s favorite musician 2Face Idibia has premiered his latest video “Rainbow” featuring T-Pain via Vibe.com. The song is a remix to Idibia’s popular single, which debuted on his 2012 album release Away & Beyond.
Idibia is one of Africa’s most successful modern-day artists having won BET’s Best International Artist Award and MTV Africa’s Artist of the Year Award. With five studio albums under his belt, Idibia is excited about continuing his journey into the International Music scene with help from artist friends like T-Pain.
He is currently in the studio finalizing a few new tracks that will appear on his deluxe re-release album, Away and Beyond: The Ascension, due in March. Similar to “Rainbow,” the album will also feature remixes to other original album tracks. Away and Beyond:

We all know our parents and people of the older generation are familiar with the original track but this remix takes it to another level, 2face didn’t disappoint and the ever green Sir Victor Olaiya came through.
