Friday 17th January 2014, TechCabal, “Nigeria’s leading tech online publication“, announced the inaugural version of its start up competition, TechCabal Battlefield with the support of Stanbic IBTC, Iroking, Jobberman, Konga, Etisalat and others. TechCabal searched out young Nigerian technology mavens to compete for fame, glory and the ultimate prize of $20,000 — the largest reward of its kind for tech start ups in Nigeria ever.
The competition which is now officially underway with the emergence of seven finalists out of a fiercely competitive pool of over ninety applicants. The successful contenders will proceed to training with seasoned professionals in technology and business, preparing them for the an epic finale at which they will present their ventures to an experienced panel of judges as well as an audience of press, investors and the general public.

Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife TV to debut the African version of Desperate Housewives in 2014
Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife TV has signed a co-production deal for the African version of Desperate Housewives scheduled to debut in mid -2014.
The original ABC TV series- Desperate Housewives – followed the lives of a group of women as seen through the eyes of a dead neighbour who committed suicide in the very first episode. The storyline covers thirteen years of the women’s lives over eight seasons as they worked through domestic struggles and family life, while facing the secrets, crimes and mysteries hidden behind the doors of their — at the surface — beautiful and seemingly perfect neighbourhood.

EbonyLife TV set to launch and commence broadcast July 1st on DSTV.
All is set for the official launch of Africa’s first Global Black Entertainment Channel, EbonyLife TV. The channel will be launched at an exclusive event on June 30, 2013 in Lagos. Keynote Speaker is founder and chairman of Forbes, Steve Forbes.
EbonyLife TV is tipped to win the heart of viewers with it's wide array of programmes which include Moments with Mo, The Banky & Tiwa Show, New Horizon and many more.
The channel is scheduled to start broadcast on DSTV on July 1,2013.

Ebonylife TV Unveils Flaship Programme, Sistaz!
Ebonylife TV has announced the wrap up of the filming of one of its flagship programmes, SISTAZ!, a reality programme shot in Tinapa, Calabar, Cross River State. At a media briefing held Thursday at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, the casts and producer of the reality programme expressed satisfaction at the completion of the filming.
Directed by Heidi Uys, Sistaz! is a compelling Reality TV Series about two sisters of Greek-Nigerian descent, the Stavro sisters, who decide to check into the famous Eko Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, for a long overdue holiday reunion. While there, they meet Stephanie, a British-born Nigerian friend who has also checked in to relax from a busy schedule.
