Chris Brown admits probation violation, sentenced to 1 year in prison

Chris Brown on Friday admitted a probation violation over an altercation last year outside a hotel in Washington, D.C., and was sentenced to remain on probation and serve an additional 131 days in jail.

Brown appeared in court Friday and admitted he committed a crime in Washington in October. His mother and other supporters watched Friday's court proceedings.

Brown was to serve a year in county jail but gave him credit for nearly eight months of time served. The credits include time the Grammy winner has spent in rehab and jail, as well as credits for good behavior while behind bars.

His admission came in a felony assault case filed after Brown attacked pop singer Rihanna hours before the 2009 Grammy Awards. The pair was dating at the time.

Brown has been in custody since mid-March, when he was arrested after being dismissed from a court-ordered rehab sentence.

Chris Brown Sentenced To 1000 Hours Of Labour

A judge has sentenced Chris Brown to 1,000 additional hours of community service yesterday after faulting the reports on his previous community service when he assaulted Rihanna four years ago. His new labour will entail cleaning beaches or highways, removing graffiti or performing other chores assigned by the probation department. He is expected back in court on the 20th of November, 2013.

Death Threats Made Against Singer, Chris Brown - Brown's Attorney

The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating death threats made against Chris Brown.

Multiple threats were made via telephone calls to the office of Chris Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos and the caller threatened Chris' life.

Geragos took the threats very seriously and immediately reported them to the LAPD, giving them all the information he had on the calls and LAPD are currently investigating the situation.

Chris Brown's father has the same feelings as most prople when it comes to his Chris dating Rihanna -- they should have NEVER gotten back together.

In an interview with the New York Daily News, Clinton Brown said that while he understand CB's attraction to RiRi, they are better off on their own. He told the paper, "I personally really didn’t want him and Rihanna back together."

The elder Brown, who split from CB's mom when he was 6, thinks the on-again/off-again couple does not have the proper balance to maintain a good relationship, explaining, "You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical but you also have to have someone who is grounded and logical." 

Clearly neither Chris nor Rihanna would be described as "grounded" or "logical."

Rihanna and Chris Brown off to Barbados for NYE

Rihanna is reportedly planning to spend New Year with Chris Brown in her native Barbados.

According to The Sun, the Diamonds singer has secured a luxury five-star villa on the island's exclusive Gold Coast for a "bonding holiday" with Breezy.

It is thought that RiRi is also planning to fly Brown's mother Joyce Hawkins out to Barbados to join them, so their families can spend some time together.


The Bajan babe has faced some criticism for allegedly rekindling her romance with Chris after his 2009 assault on her, with the star even collaborating with him on a track for her new LP, Unapologetic.

A source told the newspaper: "The more the public criticise Rihanna for getting back with Chris, the more determined she is to do whatever she wants.

“While no one else can understand it, she’s convinced that Chris is the love of her life and her soulmate and that they’re simply meant to be together.

“She’s booked him and his mum into a five-star villa in Barbados over New Year so they can all get some downtime with her family."

They added: "But they’re unrepentant and they want to show the whole world that they’ve moved on from what happened in 2009.”

Chris Brown finally dumps Karrueche for Rihanna

Chris Brown says he has officially BROKEN UP with his girlfriend Karrueche Tran ...  explaining, "I don't want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna."

Brown just made the announcement ... saying, "I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don't want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna."

The announcement comes after Brown and Rihanna were spotted together at the Jay Z concert in Brooklyn last night. The two had been hanging around each other A LOT lately ... and did some hardcore flirting at the MTV VMAs.
