PHOTO+VIDEO: Nigerian Student Verbally Abused In A UK Hospital

A shocking video emerged today of a woman going on a rant to patients in a hospital waiting room. The two-minute clip, filmed on Saturday night at Ipswich Hospital in Suffolk, saw the woman shout abuse at students Gina Thompson, 23, of Nigeria, and her 21-year-old Spanish friend. The woman asked them ‘where do you come from’ before saying: ‘You're coming over here and you're pleading poverty. We are paying taxes you a***holes and we are going down in this crisis.

The incident took place at 7:30pm in the hospital’s accident and emergency department waiting room, where Miss Thompson had gone with her friend who had sprained her ankle playing sport.

Miss Thompson, of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, is a film and media student at University Campus Suffolk and has been in the UK for two years, while her friend from Seville, Spain, arrived last September.

LL Cool J opens up about being abused as a child

LL Cool J has opened up about being abused as a child during an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The rapper spoke for the first time about suffering at the hands of his mother's ex-boyfriend as he was growing up and he revealed he was the victim of mental and physical abuse.

"It wasn't sexual, it was just beatings... Getting kicked out in the snow, and being ordered to stay outside... Getting beat with vacuum cleaner pipes, getting ordered to strip naked, 'Put your hands on the bunk bed,' and when you fall down, 'Stand up, get back up', the star revealed to Oprah.

Karen Igho abused at gunpoint

Nigeria’s Karen Igho of Big Brother Africa announced on twitter this morning how she was abused and harassed by a security operative at an event she attended last night, saying, a security “loaded his gun and put it to my face at the car park, he wanted money. I feel abused and hurt”.

She continued narrating her ordeal by tweeting “and I didn’t have any on me then he slapped me still in shock and pain. The slap sent me landing on the floor and hitting my head”.
