FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup: Nigeria beat Mexico 3 – 0, to take on Spain in quarter-final

Nigeria defeated Mexico 3-0 in their last group game of the FIFA under 17 Women's World Cup in Costa Rica to go top of their group.

Coach Bala Nkiyu's side produced an all-round impressive performance to take-over leadership of group,ensuring that they got the needed victory over Mexico which guaranteed top spot.

The two sides went into the contest effectively battling to win the group after both securing a last eight place after their first two games.

The Lagos State Police Command has commenced investigations into the killing of a police corporal, Ado Ayuba, who was lynched by some hoodlums in Suru Alaba area of the state. (Above pic: not the police officer killed)

According to the police, the victim was beaten to death by an irate mob for allegedly killing a trader, Mustapha Mohammed, on July 30, 2013.

PUNCH Metro learnt that Ayuba and another policeman were deployed to the scene to chase away traders who had illegally taken over a portion of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

I6-years-old Nigerian-Canadian, Ebony Oshunrinde Created the Beat For Crown on Jay-z's New Album

16-years-old Nigerian-Canadian, Ebony Osunrinde, who goes by the name "Wondagurl" has just been credited as the producer of "Crown," a track on Jay-Z's new already certified platinum album "Magna Carta Holy Grail." 

Wondagurl just finished 11th grade at Chinguacousy Secondary School, Brampton, Ontario, Canada and she started out at producing sounds after watching a video of Jay-Z and Timbaland working in the studio together when she was 9. She decided to become a self taught beatmaker by downloading music software and watching YouTube tutorials. 

"I wanted to do the exact thing that he (Jay-Z) did. Anybody can be successful, it doesn't matter where you are from." she recently told TheStar in an interview. 

At 15, she won Toronto's Battle of the Beatmakers. She won the title the following year and went on to sign an exclusive management deal with Black Box."

Earlier this year, Ebony sent a beat to Travis Scott who happened to be in the studio with Jay-Z when he received it, and when he told her that the beat had made it to the album, she thought he was joking.

The sound that landed on Jay-Z's album began with a reggae song. Ebony sampled the music and added her own twist using computer software. "It has a lot of bass and a lot of bounce." she explained.

She also produced a song for Travis Scott titled "Uptown"

Chris Brown and Rihanna are back?

Just days after he was spotted kissing former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger at a club in Los Angeles, he did the same with ex-girlfriend Rihanna in New York City and then spent time with his actual girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, the next day.

On Monday night in the Big Apple, Brown and Rihanna packed on the PDA in the middle of the busy Griffin nightclub. Sources inside the club said the two were all over each other, kissing and hugging out in the open and even disappeared together in a bathroom for 20 minutes.

Chris and Rihanna left the club separately, but hours later, Chris was spotted leaving the Gansevoort Hotel, where Rihanna was staying. And where did he head to? The hotel where his girlfriend has been staying.

Judging by Tran’s Twitter feed, it seemed like she had ended things with Brown. When one follower told her to “let it go,” she replied, “oh baby I am,” around the same time she tweeted, “there's a difference between a man and a boy.” But Brown seems to have weaseled his way back into her heart because not long after his hookup with Rihanna, Tran posted a photo of a “special delivery” sent to her hotel room: white roses, a teddy bear, and Godiva chocolates. After getting mocked by her followers for being “clowned intentionally” and a “laughing stock,” the aspiring model deleted the pic.
