Governor Mimiko’s aide, Seyi Adeniyi slumps and dies

Mr. Seyi Adeniyi, a Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, on Tuesday slumped and was he was rushed to the State Specialist Hospital in Akure, where he was placed on life support. He eventually passed away.

Adeniyi was forty years of age.

Adeniyi, who until his death was the Special Assistant on Special Duties to Governor Mimiko, had worked as an aide to Senator Ehinlanwo before joining the government.

Man slumps while watching Super Eagles/Cote d’Ivoire

A middle aged man,  Mr Owolabi Ismail, died on Sunday evening at Oke-Sokori area of Abeokuta, Ogun State, during the quarter final match between Nigeria and Ivory Coast, in the ongoing Nations Cup in South Africa.

Ismail slumped in the early minutes of the match, as a result of anoxia, the excessive intake of carbondioxide which was persistent for a longer period of time.


Owolabi, an engineer with the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was confirmed dead on arrival.
