UNILORIN expels five students for alleged acts of misconduct

The University of Ilorin has expelled five students from the institution for alleged acts of misconduct.

The Disciplinary Committee of the institution said after due consideration of all evidence before it, it was convinced beyond reasonable doubt that the allegation of misconduct was established against the students.

Vice-Chancellor, UNILORIN, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali, in an interview with journalists in Ilorin on Tuesday, confirmed the expulsion of the students.

He added that before any student could graduate, such must have been found worthy in learning and character.

According to him, students are being monitored from their first day on the campus till the last day. Besides, he said the university believed in upholding the rule of law.

He said, “We have various committees put in place to checkmate excesses either of the students or of the staff. We have rules and regulations guiding the conducts of staff and students on campus.”
