A middle aged man,  Mr Owolabi Ismail, died on Sunday evening at Oke-Sokori area of Abeokuta, Ogun State, during the quarter final match between Nigeria and Ivory Coast, in the ongoing Nations Cup in South Africa.

Ismail slumped in the early minutes of the match, as a result of anoxia, the excessive intake of carbondioxide which was persistent for a longer period of time.
