Oscar nominations 2013

Oscar nominations were announced on Thursday (January 10), revealing Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" as the film to beat. The filmmaker's period piece earned 12 nominations including Best Picture, Actor in a Leading Role, Directing and more. 

Nipping at its heels is "Les Miserables," director Tom Hooper's adaptation of the beloved stage musical, with nine nominations to its name.
